On the occasion of Haribodhini Ekadashi, devotees have been thronging Narayan temples located in various parts of the country since morning.

Char Narayan in the Kathmandu Valley, Changunarayan in Bhaktapur, Bishkhunarayan in Lalitpur, Shesh Narayan and Ichangunarayan in Kathmandu, and other small and major Narayan temples in and around the Kathmandu Valley have all seen an increase in worshipers.A special fair is being held at these temples on this day. A fair is also being held at Badrinarayan Dham in Ramkot, Nagarjuna Municipality-7. Similarly, an Ekadashi fair is being held at Siddheshwor Rajapani Mahadev Temple in Byas Municipality-9, Tanahun.

It is believed that those who cannot visit the four Narayanshthans in the Kathmandu Valley can visit the Budhanilkantha Narayanshthan and the Chaturvyuh Narayan Temple in Narayanhiti, North of Kathmandu, and obtain the same benefits as visiting and worshipping the four Narayans.
The Haribodhini Ekadashi festival is observed annually on the day of Kartik Shukla Ekadashi by doing special pujas and marrying Tulsi, a symbol of Lord Vishnu, to Damodar. This day is known as Haribodhini Ekadashi because of the narrative that Lord Vishnu, who was sleeping in the Kshirsagar, woke up on the day of Ashadha Shukla Ekadashi, also known as Hari Shayani Ekadashi.

Lord Vishnu worshipers fast from Harishayani Ekadashi to Haribodhini Ekadashi and adore Tulsi in particular. Today, it is customary to marry Tulsi to Damodar. It is customary to marry Tulsi to Damodar on this day because Tulsi is a devotee of Lord Vishnu.
